The South Korean women’s national volleyball team hung its head again at the FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL) 2023. They were swept 0-3 (23-25 21-25 14-25) by Croatia in the third match of the tournament’s second week in Brasilia, Brazil, on Sunday (Sept. 17).
They were shaky across the board and were outplayed in the height department. We were out-blocked 5-14. Most of all, they couldn’t get the advantage in the back row. They led 23-20 in the first set, but lost five consecutive points in the final minutes of the set. After dropping the second set, Korea was brought to its knees in the third set.
