VNL draw…Women’s Volleyball loses 0-3 to Croatia
First win, so hard.
The South Korean women’s national volleyball team hung its head again at the FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL) 2023. They were swept 0-3 (23-25 21-25 14-25) by Croatia in the third match of the tournament’s second week in Brasilia, Brazil, on Sunday (Sept. 17).
They were shaky across the board and were outplayed in the height department. We were out-blocked 5-14. Most of all, they couldn’t get the advantage in the back row. They led 23-20 in the first set, but lost five consecutive points in the final minutes of the set. After dropping the second set, Korea was brought to its knees in the third set. Jung Ho-young (10 points) and Pyo Seung-joo (9 points) played well, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the loss.토토사이트
Croatia was the favorite to win. Croatia is ranked 30th in the FIVB rankings, lower than Korea, which is ranked 27th. They were the only team in the tournament without a win. They suffered a shutout loss, which was a blow to their pride. South Korea lost all 12 games in the VNL last year. They also lost seven straight games in the tournament. In those seven losses, they didn’t win a single set. They are last in the 16-nation field.
