‘Two-Run Four Against Kelly’ Koo reaches 100 hits for 9th straight season…16th in KBO history

Samsung Lions’ Koo Ja-rook reached the 100-hit plateau with his sixth home run of the season.

Koo batted third and started in right field in the 15th game of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League against the LG Twins at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu on Sunday.메이저사이트

Koo, who had reached base in each of his previous two at-bats for a multi-hit game, drove a two-pitch fastball from LG starter Casey Kelly over the right field fence for a two-run arch in the bottom of the fifth inning with his team leading 2-1.

The home run gave Koo, who has produced at least 100 hits every year since 2015, his rookie season, the 16th player in KBO history to reach 100 hits in nine consecutive seasons.

Samsung, meanwhile, took a 4-1 lead in the seventh inning thanks to Koo’s two-run shot.
