Kim ‘recovering from finger injury’ goes 2-for-2 in rehab game…Anderson ready to start on Day 2
KIA’s Kim Sun-bin has recovered from injury and played in the Futures League. A call-up to the first team will have to wait until next weekend.
Kim Sun-bin started at second base and batted second in the Futures League against KT’s second team at Hampyeong Stadium on Tuesday before being substituted after three at-bats. He went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. He played five innings of second base defense.
Kim suffered a right thumb injury in the NC game on the 17th and was dropped from the first team roster on the 18th. Before the game against LG at Jamsil Stadium on the 30th, manager Kim Jong-kook said, “I had a checkup yesterday, and the results showed that it has improved. I’ve been doing technical training along with rehabilitation. The possible date (for the first team call-up) is around the weekend of next week, so I’m thinking of calling him up then.”
A KIA official said, “Kim Sun-bin’s fracture is on the inside of his right thumb, so it doesn’t affect his batting and defense much. That’s why his return was so quick.” Kim is currently on the injured list. He will be eligible for a call-up at the end of the week after the 10-day injured list period ends.온라인카지노
Reliever Jung Hae-young also started the game against KT’s second team, pitching one inning and striking out one. Manager Kim Jong-kook said, “I received a report that Jung-hae-young’s delivery is a little better. We’ll call him up if he can improve his fastball, vertical movement, or the tip of the ball. I think he will throw one more time and come up.”
Anderson, a foreign pitcher who started the previous day’s game against Kiwoom when the game was rained out after the first inning, will be ready to pitch for the LG Electronics on Sunday. Kim said, “Anderson threw 31 pitches yesterday. If he says he’s fine after checking, I’m thinking of starting him on Sunday. We have to listen to the player’s thoughts.”
Kim Do-young (third base), Choi Won-joon (first base), Na Sung-beom (right field), Choi Hyung-woo (designated hitter), Socrates (center field), Lee Woo-sung (left field), Ryu Ji-hyuk (second base), Shin Beom-soo (catcher), and Park Chan-ho (shortstop) will be the starting lineup for KIA. The starting pitcher will be Yang Hyun-jong.
