All 5,271 seats sold out in SK-KGC match, which emerged as KBL’s representative derby for ‘the season’s largest audience’

Seoul SK Knights won 85-79 in a match against Anyang KGC Ginseng Corporation in the 2022-2023 SKT Adot Professional Basketball regular league held at Jamsil Student Gymnasium on the 19th.

The match between SK and KGC has recently emerged as a representative box office match of KBL. The two teams, which met in the championship match last season, are receiving enthusiastic responses from the fans by directing great matches in each confrontation this season.

On the weekend, the 5th round confrontation held at Jamsil Student Gymnasium, the home of SK, also received a lot of attention. All 5,271 seats were sold out, although the capacity of the student gymnasium was not small. This is the largest crowd in KBL this season. 먹튀검증

SK’s sold-out case this season is the second after the S-Derby match against Samsung on December 25 last year. However, in the Samsung game, 5,210 people entered, which is less than that day. 

Players from both teams rewarded the fans’ enthusiasm with high-level performances. Kim Seon-hyung induced cheers from the fans throughout the match with his elegant dribbling, and Jameel Warney held a ceremony after a thrilling buzzer beater at the end of the first half. KGC also warmed up the stadium with a high-altitude show by Omari Spellman and Lens Abando.

The team that won the match without concession was the home team, SK. Despite Choi Jun-yong’s injury, SK, which showed formidable potential, overcame KGC’s pursuit with Kim Seon-hyung (20 points, 10 assists) and Warney (25 points, 13 rebounds). 

Now, there is only one match left between the two teams in the regular league. Attention is focused on the match between the two teams, which will meet again on March 12 at the Jamsil Student Gymnasium.
